Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel accused the party's second-tier chairman of acting in an apolitical manner.
The move comes after tensions escalated. Meetings of the Standing Committee were held from 10 July to 26 September. He formed a task force and reached a unanimous decision. The General Secretary also mentioned the process of convening the meetings in consultation with the two chairpersons. It was decided that one party chairperson would focus on running the government and the other chairperson would focus on running the party. The decision was not to have one executive and the other ceremonial, but to be both executive and focus on their respective areas. This is a compelling step because the person in charge of the chairman is only involved in a conspiracy to make the government fail by not allowing the government to work. He said that the CPN (Maoist) has reached a critical stage and nowadays it is facing difficulties.
